Hello, on the eighth of March, I had a storytelling and poetry reading event in Philadelphia with Shahrzad- Fatemeh Shams. This invitation was extended by the "Philly Iranians," a non-profit multi-faith organization that emerged after the Woman-life -freedom movement. The executives of this organization are Sanaz Yaghmai-, Marjam Vafa, Sepehr Pirasteh, and Pouya Hatam. Their work aims to showcase Iranian culture and to strive to establish solidarity among Iranians through art. They believe that politics divides people, while art fosters unity among them. As an Iranian writer, I appreciate their efforts and dedication in these challenging times.
Secondly, I want to acknowledge the influence of the American poetry group. Two years ago, when I joined Poetry Promise group, I never imagined I would be reading poetry in English in such a setting and have such an impact on people. Here, I want to thank my friends at the Philly Iranians, and share one of the poems I read with you

I just love that poem and your reading of it! I felt sad that the ending was not a happily -ever-after ending. Your joy and humor are infectious!
Simple, yet with abundance enjoyable humor. Loved it❤👏
